catholic faith-rooted in actual historical events church hist. made of-ppl, places, buildings, events, ideas tools-buildings and ruins, documents, and literature catacombs-ancient underground burials showing that christians had respect for the body, the temple of teholy spirit. church historians alwasy remember that the church is made of saints and siners. and it is human and divine because it is the body of christ chirst promises that god's speical help is a safeguard why church history? "those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." knowing more about the church's history will help us understand our faith more deeply
