You know when you or your friend is a poser when...

-You hold your skateboard in the air showing it off saying you have been skating for a year and you have no scratches on it.

-You watch mtv or vh1 and when you see an "alternative/rock" video you look for and memorize the name of the song and the band at the end of the video just so you can be cool and say "I listen to alternative music."

-You think dressing all black means you are gothic

-You tell your friends or other people that you dress/want to dress "skater slash alternative"

-You have "punk" patches on your bag or clothes but yet you wear a slipknot shirt.

-You consider yourself "punk" or "hardcore"

-You tell people you skate with the shoes you are wearing but yet you have no scratches on them

-You skate just to be cool and be "popular"

-You laugh at the dumb jokes the people you want to be make just to fit in but yet you have no idea what is going on

-You start a band and go to message boards to ask people on what to write and how to play because you want your band to be "punk"

-You use color gel and you say its permanent

-You have a wallet chain just so you can make it hang out of your pocket and look cool and you don't even know what its for

-You assume people can't skate if they have a "generic" skateboard deck

-You assume not having a "generic" skateboard deck makes you a true skater

-You think wearing clothes from Pacsun and Hot topic makes you punk, goth, alternative, or a skater

-You wear shirts of bands that you don't really listen to or like

-You wear a shirt that says "Trendy people make me puke" when wearing it makes you trendy

-You think being "punk" is all about wearing plaid, having piercings all over your body, wearing leather, drinking, doing drugs, and having spiked hair.
